Our window installation service covers full-frame replacements (preferred for old or rotted openings), insert replacements (when the existing frame is sound), and new-construction installs for additions and major renovations. Every install includes proper preparation of the rough opening, code-compliant flashing tape and sill pan, low-expansion foam insulation around the frame, and exterior aluminum capping or trim to weather out the joint. Interior trim, drywall return, and finish painting can be included or left for your interior trades.

The most common window problem we see in rural Ontario is single-pane or first-generation double-pane windows from the 70s and 80s — drafty, foggy between the panes, and dumping heat all winter. Some have rotted wood frames, others have failed seals, and most are well past their service life.

The second most common is bad install jobs. Even expensive new windows perform poorly if the rough opening wasn't properly insulated, the flashing was skipped, or the exterior wasn't capped to shed water. We've pulled out windows that were less than five years old and found the cavities soaked.

And condensation between the panes is the dead giveaway of a failed seal — that window is no longer doing its job, no matter how it looks from across the room.

Modern windows are dramatically more efficient than what was installed even 15 years ago. Triple-pane glass, low-E coatings, argon fills, and warm-edge spacers can cut heat loss through windows by more than half. In a Huron County winter, that adds up fast.

Do I need to replace all windows at once? No — we phase projects often. Bundling does save on setup, but you can prioritize the worst rooms first.

Will you handle interior trim? Yes if requested, or we can leave the interior for your finisher.
